knowing love

Do you know Christ's unconditional love and grace?

Not just understanding love, not just comprehending love, but do you intimately know the love of Christ?  Has it impacted and changed your life?  Do you know why Jesus even loves you?  Here's the big one ...  do you intimately know the love of Christ that any other pleasure is worthless?  This was the cry of Paul in Philippians 3:1-11

We by no means deserve this love.  It doesn't come to us because we are worth it, it isn't freely and lavishly offered because we did anything for it.  But, Jesus obeyed Father God to the point of death so that God's wrath against man b/c of our sin would be appeased, the power of sin in death would be vanquished, and God Himself would be glorified.  The gospel first glorifies the Father, and by His grace we receive the overflow of salvation and righteousness.  

Intimately knowing the love of Christ is having experiencing the grace and unconditional love of the gospel!  Have you truly come to understand this?? Really? Then why do we hold so much of the world soooo dearly to our hearts!!! Paul intimately knew the love of Christ and everything nothing else compared.  It was trash.  There is a lot in my life that I hold dear, that isn't Christ love.  My prayer is that God would show me the true vanity of these so that I would bind myself deeper to my Savior.
