re-thinking intercessory prayer

Six scriptural concepts that have made me re-think my intercessory prayer


1) Ask of God, knowing that it is by HIS mercy that we can even approach the throne (Daniel 9:17-19)


2) Ask of God, that the answered prayer would glorify HIM first, rather than be for our benefit.   (Daniel 9:17-19)


3) Ask of God, that Christ and his love might dwell deeper in our hearts (Ephesians 3:14-21)


4) Ask of God, to increase our faith, because He can always do abundantly more than we ask. (Ephesians 3:14-21) *crazy cyclical paradox* :0


5) Ask of God, that he would answer IF AND ONLY IF His blessing to us is blesses His name before others (Psalm 67)


6)Ask of God, ONLY after I have sought after and dwelt intimately with the very face of God (Psalm 27:8)
